Valencia is a city that creates a perfect mix for start-up companies, digital nomads, and remote workers. It not only has a lot to offer regarding quality of living, but also a thriving start-up scene and expat community that makes it the perfect getaway for digital entrepreneurs and remote workers. While less expensive than other start-up hotspots in Spain like Barcelona and Madrid, yet in close proximity, Valencia is a lively and convenient city. With an airport located 15min from the city center, it is easily accessible internationally as well as from inside Spain. As there are numerous opportunities to explore the surrounding nature, its location is optimal and makes for great weather throughout the year.

Valencia has a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere, which is best enjoyed on the street terraces, cafes and restaurants. The different parts of the city have their own vibe to them and offer plenty of opportunities to explore the cuisine, the art and architecture of the city. Valencia’s center is a unique mix of old and new, representing its rich culture and history.  One of the city’s unique characteristics is the park running through the city; the former river has been turned green and now continues for kilometres, all the way to the Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias, a Center of Arts and Sciences built in a futuristic complex. The park is perfect for running, cycling, talking a walk, or just relaxing, and together with the city’s other green spots makes it even more lively and beautiful.

If you need more change of scenery, the beach is close to the center, and the nearby mountains and coast are perfect for hiking and biking. Exploring the small towns on the coast will also give you an authentic taste of Southern Spain, where you can enjoy Paella in its original form, the famous Spanish food that originated in Valencia.
